The RBI Monetary Museum was inaugurated by late Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam, India’s President in 2004. The museum portrays the evolution of money from 2nd Century BC till date. RBI Museum is divided into 6 sections in which concepts, history of money, Indian Paper money, etc are shown.
